Just recently, Ian, you all know him as Dark King Boo, has told us something shocking. For the past two years he has been using alternate accounts to fill his loneliness. You know them as; Poison Neko, Blazing Shana, The Amazing Lora, Splice, Silver Night, Bunnyzun, Black Misery, Black Rose, Black Fox, Black Orb, and Killer Nue. Yes, this means all of those previously meantioned members are fakes. They never really existed. Now, before any of you jump to conclusions, the forums are NOT closing. It'll be pretty quiet around here, but it'll still exist. We ask that all of you help him get past this, as opposed to holding it against him. Hi I'm Dr. Daniel Jackson! |

As it pains me to say it, I just have no time for the place. Even Misery is too busy to check by. So later tonight im closing the forums for good, and eventually all the rest.
I thank you for your times here. Its a real shame to see them all go...

Hello people of DBP [TCG UPDATE, you've been warned].
Apparently we have been infested with spiders, SO MANY SPIDERS! We had our scientist (Scythe Guy) to go find out where they are coming from. We were suprised by the answer, an old pyramid off the southwest of DBP on the Desert of Poison (sand is poisonous, bring shoes not sandals). Of course you are going there, I have something to do here in the Admin's office, doin a little research on something. Of course like in all other disasters there is a reward for beating up the person behind this. Money, a badge, and maybe something else. We will see.
So stop chit chatting AND KILL THE PERSON SENDING THESE SPIDERS. SO MANY!
*goes on roof throwing cookies at the incoming spiders*

Anyways we here at DBP wish you a happy valentine. Except for Miserath since she CAN'T HAVE ONE. (Don't worry my scientist insured me that SHE DOES NOT HAVE A COMPUTER so no worries.)
Also as for MC, a poorly made video. (sooo poorly made, didn't even bother to edit out the music I was listening too at the time.)

Certainly some of you heard of Minecraft. I did but keep forgetting how to play. Blizz has been trying to create one, but I made it instead (its a man thing). Upon my first 30 minutes of playing, I was terrified. Blizz made a small home barely fit for 2 people and it was snowing like crazy. Of course afterwards we fell into a fissure. Multiple times.
Anyways I recommend you come play with us. Why? Because right now as I type this, there is 5 skeles and 4 spiders outside and Im too afraid to get close to the door. So... yea help. HELP!

DKB was supposed to do this some days ago but you know...Shana and all. So I promoted Blizz to administrator and I will be taking over the TCG until we find someone more capable or until Silver comes back with...Whatever he is doing.
I guess this means we need a new moderator...or not, but we are kinda low on staff (Me, Blizz, DKB, and KC). Luigi4160 doesn't do anything, and Silver is busy. I pretty much done all the moderating around here, so I don't see why I can't handle the TCG either.

As you might have seen, Rosey recently got perma banned from DBP by trying to access the ACP (futile of course). She now claims that she is making a "criminal organization" to attack us.
Here is her their icon:
Wait its not over yet, she states and I QUOTE "DBP will fall before me".

As you most of you guys know we have been inactive. And Im sure most of you aren't asking why. Well Im just going to tell you anyways. GAMES. More specifically TF2 (for me at least), they always do something interesting around the holidays. And most of the time people spend this time either isolated or with their families.
For my new year resolution, Im going to be more productive here. (AND THAT GOES FOR THE REST OF THE STAFF TOO. YES I PURPOSELY PICKED YOUR RESOLUTIONS! YOUR RESOLUTIONS THAT YOU PICKED ARE NOW INVALID!)
As for the server, its doing just fine. However school starts here on tuesday, so Im gonna put up the server till then. Again Im sending you all spam mails to GET TF2 ITS FREE! |

Ah its been awhile since we last had an update or an event even. Although we should really consider doing a different event besides TCG...
So here is the Halloween Update:
-Limited time only Halloween Cards
-New Boss Miserath
-Bosses are no longer effected by Curse
-Shiny Cards!
-Mystery Pack
-Hell cards are now obtainable (only through Mystery Pack)
-New Skin

As of Sept 19, 2011. DSU deaffiliates DBP. Why?
Well its a long story. But to make it short:
I personally didn't like them, DSU admin wet himself, DSU admin raged and closed the affiliate.
Now I know this makes me seem harsh, and I was on some level. But DSU didn't even bother to try to keep it. They just saw what I said and closed it. Didn't even bother to message DKB about it. Karasz said that "he had no choice". That is a lie, he had a choice and he chose to close the affiliate. If he really wanted to, he could've kept up the affiliate. So I guess DSU, doesn't want anything to do with us. So be it.
As blizz asked before, why DSU? what about the other affiliates?
DKB believes affiliates is a form of friendship. He does not affiliate with people for personal gain, he does it to show that he supports their forum. DSU however only seemed to want members from our forum. They never tried to help us (the other forums did).
Lunatic Red, has helped us. Both intentionally and unintenionally. They brought us new members and even suggested ways to improve the forum. From what I hear, DKB and Luny and Flandreas (admins of LR) are good friends. However DKB wished that he could do more for LR, and he helped advertise LR to a bunch of people who would be perfect for LR.
Now I don't like LR, but its not for a good reason. I think they made DKB a flandre addict and a bit more nutty. Although I do thank them for making DKB happier and a bit more active. Actually I believe that most of forum is touhou related, thanks to them... which isn't a bad thing. It did bring Commukari here (or so I assume).
BXzone, I know that BXzone is long gone, but it was a great affiliate. Im actually a bit dissapointed that it closed down. BXzone had a rather large impact on DBP, it inspired DKB to revive his 5-year old cards. Although the old DBP cards couldn't be used (several errors, imbalances, and copyrighted sprites). He revamped it and worked on it till this day. We also helped BXzone, DKB had full support for them and even believed that they had more potential then DBP. Even now BX helps DKB find creative ways to make and sell cards.
Funfact: DSU personally hates BXzone because they believe that they stole karasz's idea of a cross-over TCG. Which is BS, because BXzone was up way before DSU was even thought of.
Diablo's whatever: Its a dead forum. However it is an interesting looking forum, even though there is alot to be fixed on it. I don't hate it, but I do view it as a waste of space. If we can contact the head admin there, im sure we will be glad to help improve them. Im not sure why DKB affiliated with this forum but, whatever.
SGTB: Im pretty sure, most of you heard of this forum, and maybe you even joined it. Although I know almost nothing about it or its community. All I know is that they are a rather large forum, filled with ex-BM members. They have supported us, but I do not know what they did. Only DKB knows that one.
SGTB has managed to bring some old friends of DKB's onto the forum. We may have not contributed much to them, but we do rather share a common goal...or a common enemy. BooMansion. Although we don't directly get involved with BM, SGTB is against BM. Or at least thats what Ive heard.
YV: They would've become an affiliate. If they didn't close down. Its one the few forums that I actually went too. It was generally a fun forum, but YV inspired DKB to create DBP. Although it was a rather rough start on DBP, if it wasn't for YV Im pretty sure DBP wouldn't be here in the first place.
Red Scarlet Mansion: It was an old affiliate of DBP, they offered great support but got shutdown along with DBP and IBP... they were never heard from again...
So this should answer your question Blizz, and maybe a bit more.

Welcome to the Kwitchler update (no there is no kwitchler in it). Why am I making this an event? Well I shall not say. Seeing that I might have no clue what im doing (like always). All I know is that is that the 1st day of the update has to do with TF2.
Surely you remember koth_sandpit (assuming that you actually downloaded it). Well I've been wanting to update it, and so I did. Sorry but no DKB_playground this time.

I also included the nav in there so you can play with bots if you wanted too. But as always they suck. They might get stuck (and unstuck). I remind that this is my first map and that it might suck. But I NEED TO TEST IT TO IMPROVE. So im bringing it into public so give me comments/ideas/blah.
GAME MODES FOR THE TCG
Yea this is mostly a TCG update. So time to unleash some new gamemodes for testing.
Sudden Death- All cards have half of their max hp (round em to the lower, ex: 15= 7.5=7)
Timed Battle- Players need to fight for 10 turns. If players have not killed the other team then the team with the most hp (total of all) remaining wins.
Free Battle- A basic battle but with no restrictions except for the 6-card limit (trollface mode).
If battle topics don't contain the appropriate ruleset for the gamemode, then the topic will be moved to the appropriate gamemode.
Also later today will be the release of the first episode of DBP Misadvs. Season 3. FINALLY! |

In case you people didn't notice I was left charge and I fixed alot of things. These things being:
-shop catergorization
-Inbox skin fixed
-Added a qoute box background
-Testing of new cards to prevent OP cards
-Reordered the Forums
-got new mario cards in the works
We are still working on fixing some other issues, so if we look inactive....we aren't. |
